JACK offers free German courses for female refugees or women in need of special protection in Berlin-Neukölln.

For mothers we offer child care during the classes. Please note: Our courses are NOT so-called “integration courses” or Berufsorientierungskurse!

vacancies in the German courses

updated: 12.04.2024

Our facility, like so many, has been affected by cuts, so we have had to reduce our offerings since January 2024. Unfortunately, this increases the waiting time for free course places. We hope for your understanding.

There are currently no free places.

Since it is not possible to predict when there will be free places again, we ask you to visit this page regularly to keep up-to-date information in the table below. We do not keep a waiting list.

German classes

Please note: Our courses are NO integration courses. They are for women who are prevented from attending other courses due to their residence status.

We don’t offer evening classes.

literacy classes

At the moment we have literacy courses in three different levels. Both primary illiterate women (women who are also not literate in their mother tongue) and those learning a second alphabet (women who have already learned a script and now want to learn Latin script) can take part in the courses.

The literacy courses are only suitable for German language beginners without previos knowledge of German.
